It has been a learning experience, and I have made some mistakes along the way. It's a difficult task trying to bring a fictional character to life on a new medium like this. I have to keep him in character, but I also have to make him a good citizen of social networks. That's a delicate balance to strike. The other issue is how big of a market is there for this at this time? We're early in taking social media to popular novels (and I think Nick Heller will be appearing in movies one day), and it may be a few years before this really catches on with people. Eventually, I fully expect this to be the norm, but for now it is very much an experiment. @Stephanie,

I've been doing the very same thing. probably not as successfully as you, but I've been creating a 'verse for the characters of a book I'm slowly trying to write. The mains are on Twitter, have recruited folk to help me with some multimedia, fan page on Facebook etc, and at some point, will be doing a podcast. Neat!
