Engaging the community is mission critical. I think that&#039;s a major thing more news organizations need to do. It doesn&#039;t how much technology our Web sites have if we don&#039;t have anyone to cultivate those communities.

Does your news organization have a community manager, and, if so, what do those job duties entail?

And a committed community manager should be at the top of the list for any organization moving towards online communities. You need commitment and engagement to foster growth. Period.
